Emily Schulz

Emily Schulz, DPT, OCS

Emily joined the staff of MVP Physical Therapy in August 2016. Raised in Michigan and schooled in Wisconsin, she spent the last ten years treating thousands of patients in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Emily specializes in manual therapy - a hands-on approach to discovering and treating a broad range of orthopedic conditions - and loves working with and getting to know her patients. She's a Board Certified Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) and Credentialed Clinical Instructor. Her TRX sports medicine certification helps her rehab various orthopedic injuries while also working to maintain whole-body health.
Emily was drawn to physical therapy at a young age when she attended – and was allowed to help with - therapy sessions for her older sister who was recovering from a spinal cord injury sustained in a plane crash. This inspired her to go on to receive her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences (2004) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy (2006) from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
On a personal note, Emily loves adventure and experiencing all life has to offer. She adores her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephew back in Michigan. Her travels have taken her to the savannahs of Africa, the mountains of Argentina, the islands of the Caribbean and all over the U.S. She's also developed a palate for fine wines and a penchant for playing recreational sports (including a stint on a national championship-level kickball team).

Rachael Eckert, DPT

Rachael Eckert, DPT

Rachael joined the staff at MVP Physical Therapy in April of 2019. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora in 2018.

Rachael has undergone post-graduate education in treating individuals with dizziness and balance disorders. She has a special interest in helping people recover from concussion, whiplash, vestibular hypofunction or insidious onset of dizziness or vertigo. She also has a passion for using both manual therapy and exercise to treat people with both chronic pain and acute orthopedic conditions in order to help guide individuals back to the activities that bring them joy and meaning in life. She has her Level 2 Functional Dry Needling certification.

Rachael is originally from a small town, Mammoth Lakes, in California and has lived in Denver since 2015. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA. Her background in nutrition and continuing education certification in Functional Nutrition for Chronic Pain has led to a holistic view of health care and she is passionate about addressing how nutritional status, sleep hygiene, and both environmental and personal stresses affect an individual's recovery in physical therapy.

On her days off, you will find Rachael on her paddle board or snowboard, hiking in the Rockies, reading a book with a cup of coffee, or spending time with family and friends. She also loves traveling and exploring new places. Rachael is currently working towards a goal of being bilingual in Spanish and hopes to eventually be able to speak to individuals directly in Spanish during physical therapy sessions without an interpreter..

Lydia

Lydia

Lydia is a Physical Therapist Assistant that joined MVP Physical Therapy in August of 2017 after obtaining her Associates Degree from Pima Medical Institute in June 2017, and graduated the top of her class with honors.
Prior to starting her career in physical therapy, Lydia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in both long-term care and acute care settings. It was here that she realized her passion for helping others. She chose to advance her career work as a PTA due to her love of learning and wanting to help others improve their function and pain through manual therapy and exercise.
Lydia specializes in treating orthopedic conditions and is interested in pursuing continuing education related to sports rehabilitation as well as obtaining her Astym certification.
In her spare time, Lydia enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter who they welcomed in September 2018. As a Colorado native, Lydia also enjoys the outdoors including hiking, camping, fishing, and horseback riding. She has spent the last 3 summers volunteering at the Therapeutic Riding Center in Longmont, helping adults and children with disabilities through hippotherapy (horse riding for balance, strength, and coordination). She also loves watching sports, especially the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos.
